Hello,

If we use a taxonomy list at for multiple post types and would like to hide a specific taxonomy item from one post type. Is there a way to do in one go without hiding it from each place when it shows for that post type, pages, forms etc?

Thanks

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Do you mean that you want to keep using taxonomy with your post type but just wanted to hide is so that user can not see it?
Or
You want to completely remove the taxonomy attachment from your post type?

If you can share your use case and what and how you want to hide your taxonomy that will help me to understand your issue.

Lets say I have

Post types:
- Companies
- Jobs
- Events
- News

Taxonomy: Locations
- Location 1
- Location 2
- Location 3
- Location 4

We would want Taxonomy: Locations linked to all the above post types, but for example 'Location 4' is not relevant to Post type Jobs.

I have hidden it from a user submission form with CSS, but was wondering if there was a way that 'Location 4' could be completely removed from that post type. So that even in the backend post submission etc. it would not be visible.

No, there is no such feature available with Toolset to hide the specific term when you add/edit post in backend. This will require custom programming that is beyond the scope of our support policy.

I found following, would be interesting for you and you will have to adjust the code as per your requirement.
