[Resolved] Hide Menu Items

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the customer wanted to know if he can use our Access plugin to hide menu items from his users.

Solution:

Yes this is possible and the simplest way to do this is to create a post group and add that post that appears in the menu to that group.

Then deny your user access to that group and when the user views the website on the frontend then he won't be able to see this menu item.

Hi I was wondering if it is possible to use the Access plugin to hide menu items from the WP Menu

In my scenario I have a page which should not be visible as a link in my top navigation UNLESS the user is an editor (or a custom role)

Thanks!

Hi Stewart,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

This should be possible because if the user doesn't have permissions to view the page then it should not show up in the menu.

Is the item still showing up even when the user does not have read access ?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

How do you remove read access just to one page?

So I have custom role call Group A and a Single Page called Page A. How do I set it so ONLY Group A can view Page A??

Thanks

Don't worry - I figured out you need to create a post group
