Hi David,

I suspect that you're referring to the field group ordering on the wordpress post edit screen correct.

If so then this is controlled by wordpress core itself and could be because of a plugin conflict why it's not working.

What I recommend is that you disable all your plugins except our Types plugin and let me know if the issue still remains.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi David,

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to your site so that I can have a look at the issue for you ?

I may need to grab a copy of the website as well.

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi David,

Would it be ok if I took a copy of the site to test here locally ?

As mentioned the ability to re-order the custom fields is solely controlled by wordpress so its definitely something breaking this functionality.

What I can do is to investigate further and let you know what I can find but I can't promise any fixes for this.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi David,

Thank you for the patience, I had a look at this for you in a bit of detail.

The problem here is that i'm unable to identify the cause of the issue, in particular i've tested creating the custom fields with Advanced custom fields and disabled all the plugins including Toolset and the issue still remains where i'm unable to re-arrange the custom fields.

At this point there isn't much that I can do as the issue could be unique to your site. In a fresh copy of wordpress the issue doesn't occur and i'm able to re-arrange the custom fields without any issues. Perhaps you can open a ticket with the wordpress core support to see if they are able to assist you with this one.
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

They might be able to shed more light on this one for you as the issue here is out of our support scope given that it is wordpress core feature.

Thanks,
Shane
