Tell us what you are trying to do?

I am trying to create a simple 1 column grid of a custom post type (school courses) alongside a simple category filter along the sidebar, with checkboxes to select categories of courses.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

I have tried to follow the custom search functionality doc, however this only allows for the search function along the top. I am also finding it hard designing the grid as I can not use Elementor for this bit of work. The rest of my site and templates I have designed using Elementor. Ideally I would like to just create a drag and drop template for the grid using the Toolset custom fields I have created and am using throughout the rest of the site.

Is there a similar example that we can see?

I have attached a screenshot of what I am trying to achieve.

What is the link to your site?

Hi there,

If you want to use the default block editor that Toolset supports, please follow the steps below to have the top/bottom search/result mode:

https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-a-custom-search/

Then use this method to drag and move the search section to the side and have a side-by-side design:

https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-a-custom-search/#display-the-search-box-and-search-results-side-by-side

With Elementor you will have fewer Toolset options to work with, but here are the steps:

And this video might help:

Thank you.
