I am trying to: Add the Google Map API key

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: localhost

I expected to see: That the key is accepted

Instead, I got: REQUEST_DENIED - This API project is not authorized to use this API.

I ordered a new Google Maps API key via hidden link.

As the Google Maps API service has changed your manual is out of time. Could you tell me in detail how to set up the maps key the right way. For testing Iam using the key within a local development. (localhost)
