[Resolved] Geolocalize a view without using a map

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: Is it possible to use a distance-based filter in a View without implementing a map?

Solution: Yes, you can add a distance-based filter in a View without adding a map shortcode to the display. The results will still be filtered using the parameters in your distance filter.

Hi,
I was wondering if is there a way to geolocalise a query filter in view without using a map. For example, if I want to show the list of all hospitals in the area where the user is now. I don't need to show hospitals on a map, just make a list of hospitals closer to the user location.
Thanks
Regards
Nicola

Sure, you can use a View to display local results without adding a map or any map markers in the display section. The map is created with a Map shortcode, so you can just omit that shortcode. The distance filter will continue working without a map, and the results will be displayed just like any other View.
