Hi, can you tell me if the same Content Template is applied to either of these posts? Is it the same CT, or different CTs? You should be able to determine this by editing both posts in wp-admin. If the same Content Template is not applied to both, please go to Toolset > Content Templates and tell me which Content Template is assigned to the Single Ads post type. Then assign the CT from the manual post to the post created by CRED, and let me know if the layout becomes correct.
Hi Christian,
Thank you for your reply. The same CT is applied to both ads "Template for Ads" (screenshots attached).
Kind Regards,
Orla
Okay thanks. As a quick test, can you temporarily deactivate all plugins except Types, Views, WooCommerce Views and WooCommerce, activate the parent Divi theme, then test again?
If the problem is resolved, please reactivate your child theme then other plugins one by one until the conflict returns. If the problem was not resolved, I'll need to take a closer look in your wp-admin area to see what's going on. I will activate private reply fields here in case you need to share login credentials.
Okay at this point I think it's probably best for me to create a clone of your site using the Duplicator plugin, then run some additional tests locally so I'm not disturbing your live site. Let me know if you approve and I will get started.
No problem - that would be great - thank you!
Okay I don't see anything obviously wrong here, but I can replicate the problem you are describing. Posts created by CRED do not use the fullwidth page layout theme option, but as soon as you edit those posts in wp-admin the proper page layout option is applied. I am asking my 2nd tier support team to take a closer look. Please stand by and I will update you when I have some information to share.
I am just checking in so I can keep my client up to date - was there any more progress with this?
I appreciate your help,
Kind Regards,
Orla
Hi, my second tier team has escalated this to our Views developers for further investigation. I'll update you as soon as I have some new information to share.
Hi Christian,
I am checking in here as I am getting a lot of pressure from my client to release the adverts and it has been over a week since I've been able to give him an update. I use Divi for most of my sites so I hope it is not an issue that I will run into repeatedly as I am really loving Toolset outside of this bug.
Kind Regards,
Orla
Hello, I haven't received any additional information about this yet, but I will make a note in the ticket that you are checking in for an update. As a temporary solution, could the CRED form create posts in a "Pending" state, requiring some admin approval / edit in wp-admin? That edit process would then apply the proper template. I understand it's not ideal, but it would prevent the posts from appearing on the site improperly formatted.
Hi Christian,
Of course - that is exactly what I will do - am feeling rather silly for not thinking of that to keep the project going :-).
Hopefully a solution will come along for the automation.
Kind Regards,
Orla
Hi, I'm following up on some outstanding tickets and I can see that this issue should be resolved in the latest version of Toolset Forms. Please update to the latest versions of all Toolset software and let me know if the issue is not resolved. Thank you!
