I deactivated and deleted the redirection plugin. But the pages still don't show correctly:
- hidden link
- hidden link
Do they show for you?

Yes - it works at this end when Redirection plugin is deactivated.

Strange thing is that Redirection plugin is automatically activated after some time, even though I deactivate it.

Does it really work for you?!
For me it doesn't. I didn't change anything since yesterday and checked again today. Some product pages work, others don't.
Can you see why?
Example:

hidden link

Starting form the products overview, please try the first 3 entries:
- C1: page not found (links to /products/c1/ but it hould be /produkte/c1/)
- C2: german page ok, english page not found
- C3: page not found (links to /products/c3/ but it hould be /produkte/c3/)

What's going on?!!! The redirection plugin is not active anymore.
Do you need FTP and MySQL access?

As I shared I was able to see the product single post translated with produkte post type slug in URL - I'm passing this ticket to another supporter (Jamal) who works in weekend to ensure you should receive the support in weekend.

Hello Björn,

First of all, I saved the permalinks again to flush any rewrite rules, then I visited the page hidden link
The first time I opened a German product, I encountered an ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error on the original product, but only once. I visited 6 products in both languages without issues. Check this example hidden link

I can see there is a difference between the CPT slug in Types definition and in WPML settings, but I don't see any errors generated by it. I might need to take a copy of your website to debug this further and find out what's makes the slug appear differently in Toolset Settings.

Let me know if that's fine with you, so I can install the Duplicator package and take the copy.

Hello Jamal,
thanks for the continuing support.
I checked your example with product "C1", but I still get "page not found". I don't know what causes this.
Please install Duplicator and take a copy. The faster we get to the bottom of this the better.
Thanks guys for your work!

I took a copy of your website and worked on it locally. I couldn't fix it, so I thought it may be a new bug introduced by the latest updates of Types or WPML. So, I tried a clean install and I was not able to reproduce similar issues.

So, I did the following in my local copy and it fixed the issue, then I did the same on your site and it seems to fix the issue. Now, I am able to access archives and products in both languages:
- hidden link
- hidden link
- hidden link
- hidden link

1. Disabling slug translation in WPML->Settings->Multilingual Content Setup->Slug translations.
2. Removing all registered slugs in WPML->String Translation.
3. Adding a custom rewrite base for the post type. Check this screenshot hidden link
4. Enabling slug translation in WPML->Settings->Multilingual Content Setup->Slug translations.
5. Translating the slug in WPML->Settings->Multilingual Content Setup->Post Types Translation.
6. Flushing rewrite rules by saving permalinks twice in Settings->Permalinks.

Can you please check from your side if the issues are fixed or if there is any issue I missed?

Hi Jamal,
thanks a lot, great work!

Most of the poducts seem to be fine, but I discovered an error for the following example:

1. Go to hidden link
2. Click on "TMH" (5th entry). This leads to hidden link which doesn't show any content.

It seems that the URLs are not generated correctly throughout all entries.

Can this be solved by flushing the permalinks a couple of times?
Or are other changes in the WPML settings necessary?

#1936903

I think that it is probably a cache issue. From my side, I can see that the URL is generated correctly hidden link

I assume that was some cache that is now purged.
