I am trying to: There is a form validation error in the Form plugin while using Elementor. When the first error occurred I contacted my host provider (Godaddy) because it was a server error and they could not figure out and asked to look at the error log, which I did. Then I contacted Elementor and sent them the error log. They were able to duplicate the error and troubleshoot by deactivating the Form plugin. This is their response:
"Thank you for your reply. I was able to recreate the issue.
Upon inspecting, I found that in both cases(saving template, saving changes), there was a specific error being thrown in console which was related to form validation. To troubleshoot, I deactivated 'Toolset Form' plugin which seems to fix the issue. You can check at your end too.
Though it is out of our scope to provide support for third-party plugin conflicts, I would kindly suggest you to get in touch with plugin support as Elementor does not have control over there code."
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: This is happening on the Minha Conta (which only admin or logged in users can see).
I expected to see: I expect no error.
Instead, I got: This is the video explaining: hidden link
I'm having trouble reproducing the issue and I need to keep investigating.
I made a copy of your site and installed it locally.
I can see the "server error" notice you showed in your video. Oddly it doesn't appear to be generating any errors or warnings in the debug logs, and changes made to the margin *are* saved, despite the message.
The problem seems to arise with the inclusion of the Form in the output of the View section. When I remove the Form the server error warning disappears. But when trying to recreate this on my own site I cannot, so there must be some other details that are relevant.
I'm not sure I understand your use of Elementor Templates, though. It looks like you are creating templates for single pages, rather than just designing the pages in Elementor directly, but—in any case—that doesn't change the outcome.
In Minha Conta, I tried to save the section for Active Custom Posts, Pending Custom Posts, Add New Custom Post, and Change your email and password. The only one I could not save as a section was the Active Custom Post (Anuncios Ativos), for some reason saved as a page.
Then I include their shortcode in a Tab widget that Elementor offers, thus creating this Tab effect on the Minha Conta page.
I'm using Elementor Single Page Template for all Anuncios (Custom Post) because it's easier to edit it, unlike Toolset's Template which I need to know CSS and HTML.
I repeated my various tests this morning and I'm in the same position where I can see the Server error notice but cannot reproduce the problem on my own Elementor test site.
So I've had to escalate this to my colleagues who can dig deeper and try to debug the issue, and I'll let you know their findings.
In the meantime the changes I make to CSS, for example, appear to be being saved despite the error message.
I have had notice that this issue will be fixed in Forms 2.4. That's currently in QA testing, and so could be released in a week or so if testing completes smoothly.
