I have a form set up to edit Featured Trips post types. It has all worked great until yesterday.

The client reported that upon viewing the saved edits for one particular Featured Trip, he was getting the "Form type and post type do not match" error. I also see the error on this post but not on any others: hidden link

All other trips are fine. No one changed anything on the backend. Plugins are all updated.

Help! This is time sensitive.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Lets hope we can get this one resolved soon, however it seems to be a case where this is an edit form on a page that is a different Post Type than what is set in the form.

I would advise what post type the form is set to edit and the page/post that it was added on.

If you're not sure of how to check this then you can provide me with admin access to the site so that I can have a look at this for you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Chris,

I'm unable to check the form as the role of this user account is not an Admin account.

It needs to be an admin role in order for me to check the form.

Thanks,
Shane

That's odd. It is definitely an admin user account. I can create another user for you if you can send me the form again.

Hi Chris,

This account doesn't have admin privileges either. See Screenshot

What you can do is to go and edit the account role and ensure it is set to Administrator. See Screenshot

Once you can confirm this please let me know so that I can check again.

Thanks,
Shane

This makes no sense. hidden link and hidden link

I can send you my own login if you'd like.

This is bizarre. Thoughts on why this is happening?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the credentials.

The problem was that the post you sent was assigned to the Edit Itinerary content template when it should've been assigned to the Single Trip content template.

I've corrected this and the post should now be displaying as intended.

Thanks,
Shane

Thank you, Shane. I have NO idea how that content template got changed. I never even noticed that field on the top right of the Post editor where it can be changed.

Thank you for finding it!
