[Resolved] find posts that do NOT contain the options NOT selected in custom search?

Hi,

in custom search users should be allowed to check the material they have, and then custom search should find the posts that ONLY need the checked material. Or, with no material checked, find ANY posts.
Is that possible?

Well - as I understand, your requirement is that user should be allowed to select the specific material items and then the custom search should find the posts which are falls within he selected materials - correct?

There is no such feature available but if you can tell me the exact flow with few screenshot or problem URL I can guide you in the right direction that if it will be possible with Toolset or not.

Search: Chair, Table, Shelf checked
Posts:
Chair, Lamp -> NO
Chair -> YES
Nothing -> YES
Chair, Table, Shelf, Lamp -> NO

Search with nothing checked should find ANY posts

It should find all the posts with ONLY materials given as search parameters.

Well - so Chair, Table, Shelf are custom field values, if yes, what should be the type of custom field that will store the values of Chair, Table, Shelf? or it's taxonomy?
