[Resolved] Filtering map markers

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The issue here is that the user wanted to filter their map markers.

Solution:

What I would recommend that you do is to create a parametric search for this.

For my post type 'Install Centres' I have a field with checkboxes: Install Centre, Approved Install Centre, Motorhome Towbar Installer

What's the best way to alter my view of the map with markers so that those options display as buttons..... it should also have an all/reset button.

Many thanks!

David

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.
From what you are asking I gather that you want your markers to behave as buttons correct?

Whenever the user click these markers they should be taken to the respective post correct?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane

Actually, I should have explained it better. If the buttons were below the map that would be ideal. Pressing a button would whittle down the selection of markers (forcing a map refresh). Is it possible?

Thanks

David

Hi David,

Thank you for the clarity.

Actually not with a button per say but you can have a group of filters with parameters from your Post Type and this can be used to filter what the map displays.

Take a look at this documentation below.

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

That's great, I'll read through that and I think it will work. Thank you!
