File paths - Toolset

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I made a custom post type called "Documents" where I upload/attach a pdf to each document for people to download. Is there a way using toolset that I can hide the link of the download so that only those who click the download button can download it (without seeing the real url path?).

Hi, this type of file access control isn't built-in to Toolset and would require a significant amount of custom code. There are several download management 3rd-party plugins out there that should help obfuscate file download URLs and manage access. They would be easier to implement than the custom code necessary to manage file download access.
