hey,

first - i have to say i've read ALL support threads about this issue 🙂
i've tried hotfixes - none work.
i've tried adding a code to the functions.php from another thread (suggested by Christian) - nope.

i'm getting "upload failed!" when trying to submit a featured image through a cred frontend submission form.
I have wordpress installed on a subdirectory - but this was supposed to be already fixed in cred 1.8.4 (and my version is 1.9.2).
I've tried downgrading from wordpress 4.8.3 to other versions - still no help.

any ideas?
thanks!
ido

Hi Ido

I had no such problems on a clean install with the minimum required plugins.

I think it would help if I had a copy of your site to test locally to see if I can reproduce the issue on a different server and, if so, to narrow down the cause.

Could you make a duplicate available as described here? https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

I'll mark your next reply as private to share the link and give admin credentials.

Thanks

hey,
i saw you disabled all plugins and went back to default theme - and that it works like that.
i tried now to reactivate all plugins and go back to avada child - and it works too!

did you do anything?
or is it a miracle? 🙂

cheers
ido

Hi Ido

Well, that's odd.

I ran some tests, including disabling the other plugins and switching theme, and found that it still failed.

So I took a break for lunch and was just getting back to it now, and was in the process of creating a site duplicate when I got your update.

So, I can't say what the problem was, nor the solution.

Why don't you leave this ticket open for a day or so and then if the problem doesn't reoccur you can close it?

Strange - unless it's the guy running my server who switched something from his side.
I turned to him to see if it was a server issue (i was unable to change the functions.php file, for example, without an error). He said he was still examining it - maybe it was solved?
Let's wait for his reply and see - once he posts what the issue was, if it was indeed from his end, i'll post it here for others to see.
Thanks!

So - indeed a server issue this time. It was a security rule that had to be cancelled. But I think from what I see here that cred is really touchy and has to be a bit more tight to deal with.
Anyway thanks for the help!
