Display featured image using image block from Toolset with the dynamic option enabled.

Note: When I created the Search Archive page it worked, but when I created the Category Archive page it doesn't allow me to select the featured image for the dynamic source.

Also, the Category Archive doesn't display visually like the Search Archive.

Hi Krisie,

I've updated out team about the issue and mention that this only occurs on a Taxonomy archive.

Currently this issue shouldn't occur on a post type archive.

Is this a bug or is this how Toolset is suppose to work? Kind of confusing and doesn't make sense that you have an archive page that doesn't allow for feature images, but the author image instead. I am working on a test site and this concerning. This could delay my launch.

Hi Kristie,

We can provide this information after the proper checks have been done, even if this gets flagged as a bug a fix will take some time to be made.

Secondly you can always workaround this by calling the featured image using the [wpv-post-featured-image]. If you use the shortcodes block and add this to the archive then you should be able to get your featured images.

Please let me know if this workaround helps while we continue to work through the issue.

The short code did work, but it produced thumbnail size images that aren't centered.

Hi Kristie,

Given that you are using the shortcode as a temporary workaround you will need to use CSS to manipulate the positioning of the image.
