A few of my colleagues have reported a Fatal Error when trying to access the WP-Admin panel of both of our WordPress sites. This has happened since the latest update to Toolset Access.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: This is tricky to provide as I personally haven't managed to replicate the error. It is happening for two of our users (Allison Coggan and Pamela Arnott). They have permissions assigned in Toolset Access.

They expected to see: The wordpress dashboard

Instead, they got: Fatal errors referencing WP-Access

Hi Bonnie,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Are you able to provide me with a copy of the site or access so that I can have a look to see why this is happening ?

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Bonnie,

Can you perform a quick test for me. I have another customer with the same issue and they mentioned that once they disabled the Enable Media Replace plugin the problem was no longer there.

Can you confirm if after disabling this plugin the issue is no longer there?

The main reason is that I would like to create the exact replication steps so that I can try to replicate on my test site.

Thanks,
Shane

Yes, this has resolved the issue. Hmmmm! I wonder why it's causing issues with Access though? It seems a bizarre link!

I've just seen a support thread here, saying the error is triggered from the Access plugin:

https://wordpress.org/support/topic/3-6-0-update-conflicts-with-toolset-access-for-non-admin-users/

I hope the developers of both plugins can resolve this conflict, as we rely on both!

Hi Bonnie,

Thank you for confirming. I've escalated the issue to our 2nd tier team for further checks.

I will provide an update on this once I get a response.

Thanks,
Shane
