I am trying to:
Get a "clean" import of data through WordPress Ultimate CSV Importer Pro. I also have a ticket open with them to try to find the cause of this problem.

Sorry, I should have also said that I can provide a copy of the csv that I'm trying to get a clean import from.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
Unfortunately this is behind a firewall ?

I expected to see:
Data that matches the import of my CSV.

Instead, I got:
The data BUT there was also one empty space in the beginning of the the data fields.

This space exists in the MYSQL database. See screenshots.

Holly,

If possible,

What you can try doing is to export your csv as an XML file and try importing the XML file with the import plugin.

Thanks,
Shane

I have tried several csv to xml converters and the output of all of them result in this message when I try to import them:

Invalid XML
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed.

Do you have any specific csv to xml converters that you can recommend?

Hi Holly,

What happens if you create a default custom field in wordpress and try to map the CSV to that default field, does the issue still occur ?

I dont believe there is much that we can do on our side since its being added directly to the database.

Thanks,
Shane
