[Resolved] Exclude Toolset Custom Post type from search

This support ticket is created 3 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi,

I need to exclude a custom post type from the standard wordpress search. How can I do that?

Hi Adrian,

Thank you for getting in touch.

There is an exclude from search option on the post type when you go to Toolset -> Post Types and edit your custom post type.

Scroll to Options section and ensure that exclude_from_search is checked.

Once you've done this then the post type will be excluded from the wordpress default search.
