Hi Martin,

Thank you for the information. We tested The Events Calendar with the latest version in Toolset and it worked fine:

So this is something happening on your installation that we need to figure out.

I will give you update here as soon as we have something to share 🙂.

Thanks.

Hi there,

The issue is happening because you have added an address field for the Events custom post type on Toolset and you set it as required. (Check the screenshot).

When the Toolset map plugin is enabled that field should be filled, that is why you do not see the publish button work because there is an option at the bottom warning that there is a required field.

Thanks.

hi , many thanks for this , i just checked the screen options and this wasnt ticked , i ticked it and now the warning is obvious !!!
how ever im not sure why that field is showing on events ,it should only be on ads category lost and found? it seems to be everywhere on the wp-admin when making a post?
why is that?
thanks again your a life saver!!

Hi there,

I'm glad that you have found the reason why the Publish button is not working.

For the second question, check the Toolset > Custom Fields and find the custom field group.

See if you assigned the group to more than one place and fix it.

Here is how to do so:

https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-custom-fields/

I would check but the login information given is not valid anymore.

Hi there,

Thank you. I checked and the issue was the terms that you assigned to have that field group.

As soon as I removed those terms it worked with no issues.

Most probably you have a category or tag with the same term name used both on Events and Ads.

Thanks.
