Problem:
A "failed to open stream" error message occurs using Layouts 2.6
Solution:
This error only occurs on certain hosts and can be resolved by upgrading to 2.6.1 which contains a fix.

I just started to create a new WEB site.
And the layout plugin gave me this error message.

I found the same error when activating Layouts on a local site using Local by Flywheel (testing with different versions of PHP made no difference), but not when using MAMP as the server, so I need to dig a little deeper to see if I can spot the specific environment settings responsible.

Thanks for reporting this, my colleagues have identified the problem and will release a quick hotfix for Layouts sometime in the next few hours.

We have published Layouts 2.6.1, and I tested it locally and it fixed the issue.
