I am trying to: I am trying to create an archive page for a custom post (how tos and resources)

I expected to see: you can't use elementor templates and toolset templates together. You can only use one at a time which makes sense, I guess.

Instead, I got: But when you open elementor and try to create an archive and single page the editor screen doesn't open unless you click on the safe mode. Even if the editor screen opens, you can't click on anything. Nothing works.

So I did a plugin test and found that when toolsets is active you can create the archive page and the single page but do no editing. When toolsets is deactivated you can create single and archive pages. I tested every template you create with or without toolsets active. This is for cpt only when toolset is active. Even with just types active, this happens.

Thank you for this information,

However when I logged in and created a template with elementor I was able to see the template creation with no issues.

This is with safemode disable and with our Toolset plugins active.

Could you send me the exact replication steps? Perhaps i'm not following the correct steps to replicate.

Hey, Shane.

The issue is indeed fixed. I don't know what happened between now and the time you tested, but it was still like that when I logged the issue that Christian said I should open a new ticket for.

I had toolsets content templates created and then because there is no archives page template with the theme I have and the css was causing issues, I had to find a way to create it, so I bought elementor pro. I then deleted all the templates and tried to create it with elementor but the screen gave an error message and said to do a conflict test if the safe mode option didn't work so that is what I did.

1. I deleted all templates.
2. I deactivate and then activated the plugins until I found the culprit. It turned out to be toolset.
3. So to be double and even triple sure. I tested each template option in elementor without toolsets active. I could create them, but as soon as I activate types I could create all the templates except the archive and single pages. I did this 3 times just to be sure. I even cleared all types of cache to make sure that it is not a caching issue.

I will make a video next time to show you because I don't think images will work in this case. Thanks for check. Super happy about this because now I can continue. 🙂

PS I know I can create and archive template in toolsets, it just did not show properly and I just don't have the time or knowledge to even attempt to modify the theme files.

It seems I got too happy too soon. I could create the resource single and archive templates, but as soon as I did the how to's I got stuck again. Images at attached.

At this stage, I feel like hitting my head against a wall. I tried it in an incognito window and the screen just loaded fine. Is there something I am missing? Do you think I can keep going in incognito? Or will that affect the site? I really need to start wrapping this up so I can get my marketing going? Also, what could be causing this?

OMG! I am still getting the issue. As soon as you go back and try to edit it, you get the black screen. I even tried in Microsoft edge. It works a little bit but then it goes all wrong. I am totally hitting my head against the wall now.

I've asked one of my colleague to test it out on his end and he is able to create a template and edit it with no issues at all.

Yes you can continue to use incognito since it works. It won't affect your site at all.

I'm actually not sure of the cause of the issue but its possibly related to the computer you are using since im able to work on the site just fine.

Honestly I am super frustrated. One cpt - resources loads fine and I can edit it but not the how to's cpt. I have also created a video and a snapshot.

Hi Michelle,

I'm finally able to see the issue.

Not sure why this CPT template is giving issues when the others work fine.

However I did check the debug log for this and saw "ob_end_flush(): failed to send buffer of zlib output compression (1)"

I would highly recommend contacting the elementor support team for this one since they will be better able to debug and see what is the cause of this issue.

Since the other templates are working fine I doubt that its our toolset plugins causing such an issue.

Please contact them and let me know what they say about this and we can take it from there.
