Hi there,

I'm trying to create a template for a group of pages using Elementor on this test page:
hidden link

I am using WYSIWYG field as I read somewhere this is what we should use.

Then in Elementor I make the text field dynamic and link it to the WYSIWYG field.

Then on the page (see 3) I add a shortcode, this generated by Toolset: [wpv-form-view name="dog-friendly" target_id="self"]

However on the page it's not showing as it should.

It looks like here: hidden link

When it should look like this: hidden link

Clearly I'm missing something. Any thoughts would be great 🙂

Pete

Hi Pete,

Base on what I can see it, Everything seems to be configured correctly.

However would you mind providing me with access to have a deeper look at the issue for you ?

The private fields have been enabled for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Pete,

Thank you I see the issue.

What you need to do is to add the elementor Toolset Views block to the section and then select what portion of your view you want to display.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi there,

I don't understand, to what section, on what page? Or the template?

Can you do this to show me?

The whole point is not to use Elementor to add information or data, I 'm hoping a template for all the info, Elementor just to display it.

If I have to activate the El builder then it defeats the purpose really.

Thank you.

Hi Pete,

Similarly to how you've added the view to the page here:
hidden link

You will need to follow that same exact method. Not sure why you placed the shortcode in a WYSIWYG editor and then call it on the frontend when you can just call the view directly as you've done previously.

Have a look at how i've added it here.
hidden link

Thanks,
Shane

Ok so on the page: hidden link

See attachment, where did you add here?

If you clciked and added the blue button - Edit with El, then not all the info is being added dynamically....we'll end up using the builder which we don;t for all our listings.

With listings, all the info is Toolset Custom Fields. This looks like that;'s not the case?

Hi Pete,

In any case you're not able to call your view like this .

I'm assuming its the current page you want to filter? In either case could you check the page here
hidden link?

Let me know if this is exactly what you wanted to achieve.

Thanks,
Shane

Hey Shane,

Hmmm a shame we can't add Views dynamically, if we have to use the Elementor builder then it defeats the purpose.

So to confirm there is no option to add a shortcode dynamically? This not using the builder, like in attachment?

Hi Pete,

You can add the shortcode directly to the page using elementor. However you will need to add a text editor to the elementor template using the elementor text widget. See Screenshot.

Please let me know if this clears this up for you.

Thanks,
Shane
