[Resolved] Elementor is not showing my custom fields on the toolset field option.

This support ticket is created 4 years, 4 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Missing key selector.png

I am trying to:

Select any toolset custom field from the dynamic tags section within a text element/image/button.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

Sitewide, in the elementor editor, both on and off templates on all fields that setting custom meta as a source is possible.

I expected to see:

An option for choosing your meta key as was showing two days ago (I received a sever error yesterday for your website so couldn't access any support... what caused this? I just signed up so it's a bit concerning and I'm still in my refund period so still trialing toolset to an extent it's a worrisome start I never had issues like this with ACF or Crocoblocks.)

Instead, I got:

Only advanced options show, before and after fields but no key selection.

I just checked on your site and I can confirm that it does not appear to be working.

Unfortunately, it is Elementor that created and maintain that dynamic field integration, it is not something we can help you with.

Toolset maintain the widget for adding Views to Elementor pages and templates, which is distinct. (It's also something we are working on improving at the moment to fully support inserting Views created with the block editor.)

I'm sorry to deflect you, but you will need to contact Elementor support about this.

If you need any help designing templates using Toolset and Blocks we can of course help with that, but I see you are down the path of using Elementor.

Hi Nigel, thanks for this I have submitted a ticket with elementor.

Could you please confirm the cause of the issue yesterday with the cloudstack server limit error on your website? it was up for a while and I've only just started using toolset so if you could assure me that it was a one-off and why it happened that would be great and I can feel secure investing in your tool.

Hi Simon,

I've picked up this ticket. You've mentioned there was an issue with the cloudstack server limit on our website.

This wont have any effect on your site and our plugins as our plugins don't need a constant connection to our website in order to function.

The only connections that is made to our site is when the plugins are being update.

So you won't need to worry about your plugins stop functioning.
