This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
With other page builders it is possible to design Content Templates for single posts with them, but is not possible with Elementor.
Solution:
It is not possible with Elementor, but Elementor Pro now includes its own templating system which will work with Toolset. They have a beta which adds support for outputting Types fields in their templates, and we have added a View widget to add Views to their templates and pages, with a Forms widget in the works.
