Dear Wp Types team,

Is there a possibility to edit an attribute of an n:m relationship between a type A and type B via wordpress frontend, e.g. from a single view ob an A-object.

The specific situation I am working on:

I have a post type "Reader" and a post type "Book". They are connected via an n:m relationship "is reading / read by". This relationship has an attribute / field "progress" stating how many percent of a book a reader has already read. I have a single view template for "Reader" which - via subview - lists all the books the reader is connected with. I can also show the value of the "Progress" attribute" for each book by the dynamic source approach. But is there any way to let - from the front end view - the user edit / update the "progress" field because he has made further progress in reading and wants to change e.g. from 80 percent to 90 percent? Can I insert a FORM into this subview for example to let the user edit the "Progress" attribute?

Any help / link to one of your tutorials would be great, as I - in a rough search - could not find a solution so far.

Thank you so much.
Robert

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - I will have to review your current structure and how and where exactly you want to add the progress.

Obviously, if you want to update custom field value that holds the progress value then you will require the form.

Can you please share admin access details and problem URL where exactly you want to add/update the progress value.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
