update post type fail.png

Tell us what you are trying to do?
Update a post type.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
No

Is there a similar example that we can see?
NO

When updating, the site goes into a loop and displays attached error message. I was only adding revisions and author.

Hi Griffin,

Thank you for getting in touch.

This seems to be a case where you may have another plugin using this slug.

Can you try disabling all the non-toolset plugins and then try updating your post type again.

Thanks,
Shane

There are no other plugins that are related to song. There is something else going on. I deactivated them, but nothing.

Hi Griffin,

Thank you for going through this step.

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the website so that I can have a look at this for you.

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Griffin,

There might be a ghost entry in the database for this and is causing the issue.

Would you mind allowing me to grab a copy of the site so that I can check the database to see where else the word song appears?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Griffin,

I was able to find the issue.

The problem is that you created a page with the exact same name in Pages. Once I deleted this page I was able to update the post type.

Thanks,
Shane
