[Resolved] Edit post link shows list of layouts instead of content templates

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: When I try to insert an Edit Post Link using Forms, I see a list of Layouts instead of a list of Content Templates.

Solution: This is normal if you plan to use Toolset's Layouts plugin on your site. If you do not plan to use Layouts, you can deactivate the plugin.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
-> create link to a "content template" to edit a post

I am following the documentation (see link below) to create an "edit post link" in a "Content Template" for displaying single posts.
However, after adding the "Fields and Text" using the option "Forms" and selecting "edit post link", it seems that I'm redirected to layouts rather then "Content Templates".
I have attached 2 screenshots

Is there any documentation that you are following?
-> https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/publish-content-from-the-front-end/forms-for-editing/

Is there a similar example that we can see?
-> no

What is the link to your site?
-> no functionality yet - nearly empty

Hello, this is normal if you are using the Toolset Layouts plugin on your site. When editing a post, you will create a blank Layout instead of a blank Content Template, and insert a Form cell in that Layout.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/layouts/adding-cred-forms-to-layouts/

If you do not plan to use Toolset Layouts on your site, you can disable the plugin and follow along using Content Templates as shown in the tutorial.

I experimented a little using layouts the last couple of hours and it works fine, although they are a bit more complicated to work with. I'll get the hang of it some day 🙂

Thanks!
