I try to edit a toolset archive page (replace image on the site).
Public sites URL: hidden link
Instead of getting a toolset blocks editor, I just see a bunch of shortcodes over and over the page.
Can't change the editor or get the view like it was in the past...
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link
Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.
Upon further inspection, we were able to solve the issue by following these steps:
- We went to WPBakery Page Builder -> General Settings screen
- In the 'General Settings' tab, the option 'Disable Gutenberg Editor' was marked. So, by unchecking it and saving, the block editor could be accessed again in the archive page
Could you please check it and confirm that the issue is fixed? Thanks!
You're right, I didn't fully review the content inside, sorry. By chance, do you allow us to migrate your website to a copy version hosted on our servers? In order to check this better, without compromising the live production.
I have double-checked the problem, but so far I haven't been able to find a fix. I asked my colleagues to take a look to see if there's anything I'm missing.
I'll come back here as soon as one of them answers me (which shouldn't take long). Thank you in advance for your patience!
Upon further inspection, we have concluded a few things. First, it is possible to recognize some markups from Layouts within that block of shortcodes and HTML - also, you have Toolset Layouts installed - which is not being used, at first glance.
Therefore, it seems that Layouts was activated and perhaps used to edit the archive? In this case, I'm sorry, but unfortunately there appears little alternative but to delete the archive and create it again. Also, you should delete Layouts from the website, so that this issue won't occur again.
By chance, don't you have a backup prior to this issue? Recover this possible website copy and recreate the template would be our best options here, I'm afraid.
