Is it possible to use dynamic fields in the search results archive? I'd like to display taxonomy info with each link in the results, but when I go to use the dynamic fields on that archive, I'm not seeing the standard options.

(I'm not using a Toolset search, I'm using a default search + Ivory Search plugin -- I don't think that's impacting this situation, though. I see the Toolset blocks, but when I try to use them, it's not showing me the option for the dynamic data like on other archive pages.)

Thanks!

Hi there,

I do not have enough data about the plugins mentioned to judge how they operate.

Please test with a simple Toolset Content Template and see if the blocks show dynamic data there?

Also please test that with a simple page and see if you see the data there.

If yes, then check how the plugin is using WordPress to create search result? Is it a simple page? or a specific post type that the plugin create? It might be the fact that the plugin is not compatible.

By doing the tests above and giving us screenshots I might be able to know more about the situation.

Thanks.

I figured it out, thanks.

I see dynamic data in other spots just fine, I've been using it throughout the site.

For reference:
I deactivated Ivory Search. I added a Search option in the main navigation bar using Customizer (Kadence theme).

I did a sample search, and the results page came up with the option to Design with Toolset, with Edit WP Archive for Search Results.

I went into that archive page, chose the Standard Archive for Search Results.

Within the loop, I chose a Toolset Heading block. And that's where it wasn't letting me use dynamic data, but now it's okay -- maybe I didn't have the block selected properly previously. I'm having a little difficulty getting the Fields and Text content to display right, but I'm getting the dynamic options again.

(In the process, I also turned Ivory Search back on -- that works just fine/isn't an issue.)

Thanks.
