I've created a repeating field group and added some values for it in a post.
If I create a new instance of the group, and drag it into the chosen position within the existing instances then save the post, it appears in the correct order in the backend.
If I then try and drag and drop it to a new position, it moves into the position I want, but when the post is saved the order is not persisted and when the edit page reloads the order remains the same as it was before the instance was dragged and dropped.
Any changes other than the order are persisted correctly.
Types version is 3.0.2.
Hi, can you try these troubleshooting steps first?
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Types, and activate a default theme like Twenty Seventeen. Clear your browser's cache and test again.
- If the problem was resolved, reactivate your theme and plugins one by one until the problem returns.
- If the problem was not resolved, please refresh the page in wp-admin and edit the post title, then save. Reload the page. Is the title updated as expected? If not, there could be a required field somewhere else on the page that is blocking post saves. Toggle open all editor panels and look for error messages.
- If the title was updated as expected, refresh the page. Drag one RFG into a new order without modifying anything else on the page. Update the post and refresh the page.
- Try again, this time move a different RFG into a different position. Save and refresh.
Please let me know the results of these tests and we can go from there.
