[Resolved] Double pagination on archive

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I see double pagination appear on a WordPress Archive page that includes a View, but no double pagination appears on a custom Page that includes a similar View.

Solution: In this case the pagination added by your theme appears on WordPress Archives, but not on Pages. Therefore, only one set of pagination appears on the custom Search Page - the pagination in the View.

I am trying to: Show pagination - but on this page hidden link which is based on archive view, it shows double pagination. Compare this with hidden link which shows pagination only once. I am unable to find how to remove pagination in archive view. I am giving admin info.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: pagination as seen here - hidden link

Instead, I got: double pagination

One is from Toolset and the other from your theme.
Either one needs to be removed by you directly from the site.

Themes often provide settings for this, in Toolset you could simply remove the HTML and ShortCodes used for it from your Loop/Filter sections in the Archive.

I know one is from theme other is from views. Point is why two paginations on one view and one on another view. Had views shown one pagination on all pages, or two paginations on all pages, I would have understood. But now views is showing two paginations on one view - location view. And one pagination on search view. Instead of hurrying to a conclusion, please read the question carefully.

Hello, the reason for the difference is that the Search page is a View displayed on a custom Page. Only the View pagination appears here, because typically WordPress Pages do not include pagination. The Allahabad page is not a custom Page, it is a WordPress Archive that includes a View. The pagination generated by your theme for the WordPress Archive, and the pagination for the View, appear together here.

Christian Cox, thanks for explaining things. I will change the theme part.
