I am planning to use custom fields from parent posts to show specific content data in posts instead of manually typing in the data into the post.

Does Toolset cache custom field from parent posts? I am concerned it will slow down the site because I will be doing this for over 5,000 posts.

Hi Stanley,

Thank you for getting in touch.

No toolset itself does not cache the fields, instead you will need to use a dedicated caching plugin for this.

One that can be used is the WP Super Cache plugin.

Please let me know if this helps
Thanks,
Shane

Hey Shane,

How about custom fields from the post itself instead of custom fields from the parent post?

Hi Stanley,

No toolset doesn't cache any of the custom fields at all.

Its completely dependent on your caching plugin. However caching is utilised only on the frontend. So if you have a caching plugin installed then it will cache the custom fields.

Thanks,
Shane
