[Resolved] Displaying Search Results in a Grid

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user wanted to display his search results as a grid.

Solution:

In the loop wizard for views you have the option to do a Bootstrap grid display. Select Bootstrap or Table grid and select the number of columns you want and the grid code will be automatically generated.

Is it possible to display search results in a responsive grid up to 4-columns with Toolset and Divi Builder?

The tutorials I see describe a single column template. Is there a link or any information available on this?

Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - we encourage users to not to use Bootstrap if you are using Toolset and Divi. You can find more information with the following link:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/toolset-divi-integration/matching-divi-styling-using-toolset/

Divi uses many of the same class names as Bootstrap but sets its own style rules for them. Because of this, adding Bootstrap to a Divi site will affect the layout and cause unexpected change.

Thank you for the information. I am already aware of the link you provided.

I am very confused, is your answer to my question, since I am using Divi I will not be able to display my search results in a Grid?

This can ONLY be accomplished with Bootstrap?

Ahh - looks like I misunderstood you, if you are not using Bootstrap, you can use table based grid:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/toolset-divi-integration/design-archives-for-custom-post-types-with-divi-builder-and-toolset/

And if this is not you are looking for, I need more information where you have issue and how exactly you want to implement the grid?

Thank you for the clarification and for providing the link. I think this is exactly what I'm looking for.

I've disabled Bootstrap on this site. As far as you are aware, would there be any other possible issues display the Table Based Grid with Divi?

Hi Charles,

Sorry for the delayed in response as Minesh is currently on vacation.

I checked the site and see that you've already setup the table based grid for this. I know that there are compatibility issues with Bootstrap and Divi so as you have it would be the best way so far.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

I am very motivated by the recent progress with this project with much thanks to you.

I am disappointed by the incompatibility between the two. So far the only real downside to that is that the grid, which for all other reasons, displays perfectly on larger screens, won't adjust to a single column on mobile devices and custom CSS is needed which is currently a problem.

Otherwise, I can actually see being able to take this site live at some point ahead.

Hi Charles,

I did a bit of searching for your and found this .

This might be able to achieve your single row table on smaller screens

Thanks,
Shane
