Tell us what you are trying to do? I created two custom post types, and I created categories just for that particular post type, but they appear on all post types including WordPress posts.

Is there a similar example that we can see? Not right now.

Hi there
Please go to Toolset > Taxonomies, where you will see the taxonomies registered on the site, and the post types they are assigned to (screenshot).
You can edit a taxonomy and change the post type assignment.
