Hi there,

I am looking to display a view of a post type inside a given page. I believe the old way of doing this was to create a "view" for the post type, then I could place them individually on the pages but I see now that views are gone.

Here is the use case:

Restaurant post type
Page: best pizza places in Boston

On the "best pizza places in Boston" page, I would like to have custom headers and text, and then within the page be able to show a stylized "quick view" of different restaurants in each section. For example:

Best pizza place in Boston for families
--Intro paragraph--
[view of the restaurant with information from the post type]

Best pizza place in Boston if you like pepperoni pizza
--Intro paragraph--
[view of the restaurant with information from the post type]

This will allow me to customize each page and not have to rely on taxonomy archives and custom post archives.

Is this possible? I am very sure you used to be able to do this with the old views.

Please let me know, thank you very much for taking time to help me!

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

View is not gone anywhere but we merge the classic view within the Toolset Blocks plugin.

If you want to use the classic views even when you installed the Toolset Blocks plugin, You can activate the Toolset legacy view mode. Please check the following Doc:

Once you enable the legacy view, you will see the "Views" submenu under Toolset menu and then you will have to follow all normal steps to create a new view which you did to create previous you.
