Tell us what you are trying to do?

List repeating field groups in a view that have been created by other users. Currently my view lists RFGs that have been created by the current user only. I want this list to display RFGs created by all users or ideally the current user as well as some other defined users.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/creating-and-displaying-repeatable-field-groups/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

I'm not sure. The use case is outlined below:

The parent post type is an "Excursion Risk Assessment." The repeating fields allow users to add multiple "Risk, Hazard and Treatment" groups to the Risk Assessment post. Eg There might be an Excursion Risk Assessment for a trip to the park. A user might want to create two "Risk, Hazard and Treatment" records for transport risks and sun safety risks. These might be relatively general and a user may have previously created records that would be appropriate. I have a modal that contains a view that lists all previously created "risk hazard and treatment" records and allows the user to copy fields from a selected previously created record into the new repeating field group record form on the post. This essentially allows users to copy previously created records into their post where appropriate.

What is the link to your site?

Hi Mark

"Currently my view lists RFGs that have been created by the current user only."

If that's the case, it would be because your View contains a Query Filter to only show posts where the author is the current user.

So to show RFGs authored by any user you would simply need to remove that Query Filter, no?

Or am I missing something?

It is possible to specify multiple specific authors (either using their ID or username), as described here: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/filtering-views-query-by-author/

Thanks for your reply Nigel,

This does not seem to be how view is functioning. I d not have any query filter set up apart from a search box. Even removing this so there are no filters still only returns RFGs that have been created by the current user.

Can you confirm this is not the intended functionality?

Thanks - Mark.

Hi Mark

I just tried this on a local test site to double-check and my View to display all RFGs of some type shows all the RFGs, not just those authored by the current author.

Maybe I could take a look at your site?

I will mark your next reply as private so that I can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site.

Can you also confirm the url of where I can see the problem.
