Hi,

I have a field group called "reviews" with repeatable fields and try to display those in a view. According to this article -https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-and-displaying-repeatable-field-groups/ - I should see the repeatable field group in the views content dialog but I don't see those fields.

Please see this video: hidden link

Hi Marcel,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Reviews is the Field Group name ?

If so then when you create the view on the post type's content template you should see the option to select the Reviews repeating field group.

Can you send me a screenshot of the listed post types when creating your view.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Did you watch the video? If I understand what you mean well, it's in the video around 00:45. The field group setting are shown in the beginning.

HI Marcel,

I had a look at the video, however it would appear that the content template that you're using to create the view in isn't assigned to your post type that has the repeating field group.

From your video I was not able to see the post type assignment for the content template.

Thanks,
SHane

I added a screenshot of the custom fields group, and a screenshot of the view dialog.

If that's not what you needed, please let me give you a login so you can check it yourself.

Hi Marcel,

The screenshot you've sent is for the view and not the content template.

Please provide the credentials as well as the link to the template where you're adding the view.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Marcel,

You should see this working now.

The repeatable fields view can only be created on the content template for the Kappers post type. I've setup this example as a test for you.

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

I only see a blank template and I still can't add the fields in there. But I need to display the reviews on another page, the same way it's already done with the contact details, pricing, and "wie ben ik".

Hi Marcel,

What i'm saying is in order to create a view for the repeating fields you will need to use a content template. As previously mentioned I created this content template below.

If you are to add a new view then you will see your repeatable field group option show up.

However this will auto display the items on the Kappers page. Is it that you dont want the reviews to show on the kappers pages but on a separate page all together?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

The dynamic reviews should replace the ones that are currently shown on hidden link.

We do this already on other pages, but those aren't repeatable fields. For example, when you go to hidden link, and you click on the "wie ben ik" menu item, the ID of that post is added as an URL parameter and therefor Bob's info is shown on that page. Please refer to this topic to see how it's done: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/how-to-display-dynamic-content-on-pages-based-on-a-selection-on-the-landing-page/.

Hi Marcel,

Do you want to display specific reviews or you just want to display a random set of reviews each time? Also what page do you want to display the reviews on. Do you want to display them on bob's page? example someone on this page?

Please let me know so that I can have some clarity and direction.

Thanks,
Shane
