[Resolved] Display Author avatar

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user wanted to display the gravatars of each of his users on the frontend.

Solution:
Unfortunately we don't have a shortcode for this but a workaround for this would be to create a custom field for the user's profile image and then allowing the users to upload their own avatars.

I am trying to create a view of blog posts which shows the authors profile picture (see view.png for general idea of what i am going for), but it doesn't seem to be working as i would expect. These are the steps i have taken so far...

1) Installed the plugin WP User Avatar which allows you to upload profile pics to a users profile
2) Created the view and formatted the content template using the user data > profile picture options (see template.png)
3) Added the view to the page

There is no profile picture showing on the front end (not even the mystery man - it is just not showing)

Thanks

Hi Stewart,

Thank you for contacting our suppport forum.

I believe we will need to take a different approach with this one where you will need to create a custom field to hold the user image instead of using some 3rd party plugin because this will post some issues when it comes to display it will views.

Thanks,
Shane
