[Resolved] Differing in views

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the users view filers isn't working when they copied the view from their test site to the live site.

Solution:

The issue is that the user copied the filters but the actual query filter on the view was not there. Without the query filters the view filters won't work. What I recommend is to re-insert the filters manually by clicking the New Filter button.

I first made a custom search view and have successfully created it on my test server. I then copied the exact same coding to my live server. The search filters shows all the taxonomies in the live server while the test server shows only the taxonomies specific to what posts is already published. I'm really puzzled why it would be different and would prefer only the taxonomy that is used to show.

Live server (shows all the taxonomy, incorrect) = hidden link

Test server (does not show all the taxonomy, only those that are being used, correct) = hidden link

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Would you mind providing me with access to the site with the issue so that I can have a deeper look at this for you ?

It could be that some of the settings for the live site were not copied over.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Lisa,

I found the issue.

It seems that you copied and pasted the Filter section of the view correct? This isn't enough to get it work. When its dont like this the actual query filters are missing.

I recommend that you re-add each of the filters manually by using the New Filter button on the filter section.

Thanks,
Shane

I find that interesting because in other views, I copied and pasted with no problems. Thanks for letting me know!
