This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The issue here is that eh user wanted to delete one of their layout that is currently being used.
Solution:
What you need to do is to edit this layout and unassign it from the items that has been assigned by click the Change how this layout is used button.
This support ticket is created 6 years, 6 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.
