[Resolved] Defaulting to a number of repeating fields in a form

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

Is it possible to have two instances of a repeating field in the dashboard to show the customers they can add more than one entry?

Solution:

No, but you can use the PLACEHOLDER feature to add a description that the customer can add more entries:

placeholder text

Users tend not to see the "Add New" on a form for a repeating field group. I'd like to be able to have the form initially show three entry fields for the RFG so they see that they can add three and then add more using the "+ Add New" button. Is this possible? Attached image is how I'd like the form to look when it initially opens.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do that. I suggest that you use the PLACEHOLDER option for the single-line field and add something like:

Click the ADD NEW button to add more items

Then it will show as a default placeholder inside the input line and it will give directions to the users.

Please check the screenshot.

Thanks.
