[Resolved] Data disappearing from Checkbox custom fields on products

Hi team,

My client has reported an issue where data saved using custom checkbox fields on their products sometimes disappears. However there are two Number fields in the same field group ("Plant Selector") that seem to be unaffected by the issue.

Their products are sync'd with their POS system so my initial thought is that the sync process is somehow stripping the data from the checkbox fields, but I have no evidence of this. There are many other product fields that the POS system doesn't interact with and are unaffected, so no reason to suggest the POS system is the culprit.

I'm aware that checkbox fields can be problematic when trying to, for example, sync data from a forms plugin across to a custom post type's custom fields, but that shouldn't be an issue here. The only way data is saved to these checkboxes currently is through the standard product editing process in the WordPress backend.

Unfortunately the issue seems to intermittent and not all products have been affected, and there's no visible pattern to the products that have been affected. I've not been able to replicate the issue yet.

Can you see anything that could be worth investigating?

I can provide further information from the client on how they have experienced the issue, what products have been affected, if it would help.

Well - we will require exact steps in order to troubleshoot the issue further.

I suggest you can share all required information with steps to reproduce the issue when you able to get that information.

Once you have that information, please setup the staging site and share all required information to reproduce the issue and then we will be able to guide you in the right direction.
