I have created a custom post type called "News Stories and Updates" and within that a Field Group containing a field which is a video field.

When I display using a Layout, the video is placed in the correct place on the screen, but extends below any other content, including the footer, which is placed below it.

How do I set up the layout so that it displays, like an image, with other content pushed below it on the screen?

Hi Mark

I quickly reproduced your layout on a local test site to double-check if I could see the same problem with the video but I couldn't, on my version the content moved down to accommodate the height of the video.

Can I check what theme you are using, and if you are using any integration plugins (e.g. if you are using the Divi theme, are you also using the Layouts Divi integration plugin?)

And can you tell me your Bootstrap Layouts settings (from Toolset > Settings).

Thanks

Hi Nigel,

Sorry to be a nuisance! I am using toolset starter theme and no other plugins.

I had not come across the Settings tab before so I haver included a few settings which may, or may not, be relevant.

See attachments.

ps Minesh from your support desk has also replied to my query and asked me to try embedded-media field type instead - which I have just quickly tested and appears to work.

Very confused now but I think perhaps I'll stick to what works for now to avoid getting bogged down.

Perhaps it is something to do with my system setup here - MAC os X running Chrome.

Hi Mark

Sorry, I assumed from your screenshots it was an embedded media field you were using, which is what I tested, that is the correct field type when you want to insert linked videos from youtube, vimeo etc., rather than self-hosted video files.

Is there anything else then I can help with on this, or can we close?

Thanks Nigel, happy with the outcome, we can close this one now.

Regards,
Mark.
