When I use a custom template on a divi page and insert a section. Occasionally a section, row, & module with same name will pull styles from the custom template.
RED, This is the text module the custom templates shortcode is in.
BLUE, Black border surrounds the custom templates section.
BLACK, Appears to be where the styles are being pulled from.

I don't understand the issue here.

Can you please elaborate on the steps you take, what the goal is, what is expected and what's happening instead?
Please also add links to the issue, and if I need to login to see this, I added private data forms so you could submit me some Access to the website.

Thanks!

I also notice you mention to insert a Custom Template ShortCode to the DIVI builder.
If you mean a Content Template of Toolset that is not suggested.
You should instead design a Content Template with the Divi builder, then apply that template to your posts.
