[Resolved] Custom Taxonomy Language Users

Hi - I have a page using WPML to run 10+ languages. We organised our users now so that a specific user can only edit posts, pages, custom post types in a certain language. Our problem is now that we also need that with taxonomies and custom taxonomies. Right now a "German" User can add taxonomy to any language. How do we solve this? Thanks

Thank you for getting in touch.

I did some checks to see if this was possible to do and unfortunately it isn't. We don't have the ability to restrict the user per that specific taxonomy.

Isn't it a case where if your user is restricted to only accessing the site in German, they will only be able to see the German version and only the German posts.

Yes they see only german posts and pages etc. but can also see taxonomy in any language (add, edit) - which is a bit tricky, as the user gets easily confused and adds taxonomies to other languages

There is still lots of potential updates for wpml and access control
- update post counts
- hide other languages in the menu and as filters etc..
