I've just tried to update my website and all went well except when I updated to the latest Avada theme version. It literally broke all of my Custom posts (see screenshot) which displayed a Critical error message.

If there is an error on the site you should be able to see details in the debug log.
If you haven't already, turn on the debug log by editing your wp-config.php file and change the line with WP_DEBUG like so:
define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);
define('WP_DISABLE_FATAL_ERROR_HANDLER',true);
That will create a debug.log file in your /wp-content/ directory which you can examine in any text editor.
Was debugging already active? In which case details of the error should be available.
(Otherwise you would need to update Avada to the current version again, to trigger the error so that we can see its details.)
I've updated Avada again.

It seems it has to do with Avada Layouts..

As you may have noticed that the issue with your Avada child theme so I suggest you should check whats going on as its theme issue and its even a child theme.
