Tell us what you are trying to do?
=============================

I am not sure if this is me not understanding Toolset or WordPress so hopefully you can assist.
I used toolset views to develop a site on my development server. I have a series of custom post type (cd, article, concert etc) and I have created views for each of these types of post. The site works well on the development server and posts flow through with local URLs of the type hidden link, hidden link etc.

I have migrated the site to a live server. The site files were quite large (over 5GB) so I migrated the site by zipping the files together and uploading them, and then doing a MySQL dump of the site and importing it into the new server, updating the various links as I went.

The site homepage looks fine however the various custom field groups that I can see on the admin section of my development site are missing from the admin section on the live site. Please see two screenshots of the development site and live sites attached.

In addition, the links to the custom posts on the home page do not include the post_type directory and so the link fails.

Finally, the toolset menu in the live site looks different from that in the development site.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
===========================================

I followed the instructions from your help file here: https://toolset.com/faq/how-do-i-migrate-a-wordpress-site-from-one-domain-to-the-other/ and also here: hidden link which says pretty much the same thing.

Is there a similar example that we can see?
====================================
Not really, though I am happy to screen share my development site

What is the link to your site?
=======================
hidden link however the site is "under development" at the moment so you won't be able to see it. Again I am happy to give you the username and password to the live site so you can look around and see what is happening.

I hope that you can help, and thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Yes please provide me with the admin access to the live site so that I can take a look at it.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Chris,

For some strange reason the Types plugin is not on your plugins list.

What I would do in this case is to perform a reinstall of the plugin. To do this you will need to download the plugin from the link below.
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Then follow the instructions in the video below in order to perform the manual update/install

hidden link

Once you have done this go to your plugins list and enable the Types plugin.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thank you - that was a great help. Now that types is working, the links do now show the custom post-type in the URL.

However...

Clicking on the link takes me to a "page not found". Do you have any idea why this would be?

Thank you for your help so far - migrating this site has been a nightmare.

Kind regards,

Chris
