I had just updated all the plugings before trying to create these new posts... so perhaps it was still updating. According to the plugins I am updated to the latest versions:
Layouts : Version 2.5.2
Types: Version 3.2.7
Views: Version 2.8.0.1
I am using layouts and it should not be in maintenance mode... how do you turn off maintenance mode?
