[Resolved] Custom post style filtering breaks page.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that if there is a view created with the divi builder and there is AJAX pagination, the design gets messed up after paginating

Solution:

We are currently aware of the issue and have setup an errata page for this.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I set up a filter of a custom post type. When using that filer it seems to break the page. I need to know how to fix.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
Toolset suppor and forums
Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hi Jessica,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Are you referring to the same issue from our previous ticket?
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/this-is-in-reference-to-ticket-number-1236158/

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

Yes that is the issue. I took your previous advise and deactivated ajax sorting and re-did the view. But the same problem persists. There is something Im doing wrong but just can't seem to see what it is.

Hi Jessica,

So checking the view I see that it works fine. At least this is what it seems like to me. Perhaps i'm not looking in the right place for the broken layout.

Is there a particular search option that this occurs for ?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

It works fine at first but depending on what category you select it breaks the footer of the page. Use the dropdown and select Homeless program. If you scroll down you should see the error.

Hi Jessica,

I've escalated this issue for you.

I was able to replicate on a fresh install for you.

What I recommend and what I found that works is that instead of using the Divi builder in views to customise the output of your items, you can use the Block Editor option. See Screenshot

It will allow you to create something similar for your search results. It seems the divi layout inside views is breaking the Divi layout completely.

I'll report any findings on this.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Jessica,

There was an errata posted for this.
https://toolset.com/errata/posts-designed-using-divi-builder-will-not-display-in-an-a-view-that-uses-ajax-pagination/

However it doesn't fix the issue exactly.

We are actually trying to create a solution from our side. At this moment a complete solution isn't available but I will keep you updated on this.

Thanks,
Shane
