Hello,

I am trying to put a custom marker in my Google Maps field. According to your documentation, the 'standard' custom markers have a transparant background. When I put in my custom marker, the background is white. Also, the height of the marker gets smaller, so it looks like it's squished. I have provided a screenshot in which you can see the problem.

Could you please help me with this problem? I have provided the admin details.

Hi there

We have an open issue with maps where the icons are getting squashed, which should be fixed in an update soon (https://toolset.com/errata/maps-marker-icon-size-is-not-displaying-in-the-correct-proportion/).

The information in that erratum and in our documentation about the correct size to use will need updating, because at the moment it appears contradictory and/or inaccurate, which will happen at the same time as the fix is published.

If your custom marker has a white background it is likely that the image file itself has a white background, the icon is displayed as-is.

Make sure it is not a jpg file (jpg doesn't support transparency), and if it is already a file type that supports transparency double-check with an image editing programme that the background actually is transparent.

I'm just doing some house-keeping and making sure you were aware of the last Maps update which included a fix for this issue.
